As well as continuing to do many of the things that I am already doing, such as my Council of Management duties & my own garden, I'm really looking forward to putting more energy into developing the following areas for myself:

Diploma WorkNet support tutoring

  Following the two Diploma WorkNet Tutor training events that I have now attended, I am keen to put something back into the system by putting myself forward as an Area Reference Person. My considerable experience now of doing Action Learning Sets can only help me to do the Action Learning Tutorials, but as with every 'Vuja de', there are bound to be new situations to challenge me & to help me continue to develop my skills.

 I also look forward as a Diplomat to being able to give Design Support Tutorials to other students.

Apprentice teaching

  After all the false starts that I have had in this area, it would be nice to finally get around to doing some teaching, to begin with in an apprentice role. The disappointments have been there, but each time they have given me more experience in the planning process & given me more opportunites to learn permaculture in the meantime. I'm sure that when I am ready (& that includes having the time available!), the openings will present themselves.

Best designs & Portfolio accessibility

  My observations around the lack of good accessibility to examples of best designs for Diploma students has left me feeling a need to do something to change this. Having spoken to a few people it seems like getting all the good design work that has already been done onto the Diploma WorkNet pages would be a greatly valued resource. It is also something that I feel I now have the skills to help set up. My own experiences within the Diploma process have demonstrated to me a need for such access & with the opportunities that most people have to use the Internet now, it could be relatively easy to set this up. It seems to me that simply inputing the existing records into the digital domain & making them available via the Diploma WorkNet pages would achieve this. This is one of the reasons why I have produced my portfolio this way from the outset. I also sense that a CDROM, compiled with these designs, would also be a valuable resource (see My Portfolio for all the details). I am willing to co-ordinate this potential project.

Permaculture Musicians

  I'm really looking forward to what this project might yield. There must be a lot of talented musicians out there, that like me see music as a great way to communicate ideas to the general public. The recording studio here is waiting to be used by musicians whose songs express Earth-centred ideologies & I'd be keen to co-ordinate a charitable CD project to raise funds for permaculture causes. It will also give me the opportunity to learn more about the studio equipment as it progresses.

Paddox Farm

  While my own garden has reached it's natural boundary, there is still much to be done here on the Farm & I have many projects in mind. As well as getting on top of the other gardens around the house I would like to add to the other good examples of permaculture here. We already have some excellent treebogs, plenty of water catchment, a willow dome etc, but I'd really like to build a solar shower, a solar panel to light one of the treebogs, a vertical axis wind generator &..... well, that's probably enough for me to be getting on with for now!

Permaculture & the National Curriculum

  Yes, I am still interested in helping to take this forward, but feel that I currently lack the educational knowhow & contacts to be in any lead role. However, I'm keen to do what I can, as I still feel that this is an important area that we need to address. Whether or not this will also involve taking the Hooke Court School design through to completion I don't know, but I would like the chance at some stage to do so.

My life path

  Of course my life path includes all of the former, but in a general sense I'm always looking to move forward & be an example of really good life design. Zone 000 in particular has long been a favourite place for me to explore & I'm sure it will continue to be. I intend to continue developing my skills in expressing these ideas & ideals both through my songs & through just being.
