Minimum Effort - Treebog Willow Water is not the only resource that we can easily harvest, indeed a lot of our current water use is wasted down flush toilets. By composting our urine & faeces we can conserve this water & also make good use of this currently 'flushed out to sea' resource, . |

The treebog keeps it all very simple, there is no need to regularly empty the compost toilet or move anything around as we harvest the nutrients in situ. We do this by planting fast growing Willows around the structure & these quickly turn our waste into valuable biomass that we can use in many different ways. We can also plant comfrey to soak up the excess nitrogen in the urine & later harvest it to make liquid plant food. |
