Appropriate Technology - A Solar Water Heating Panel made from scrap

There is no doubt that humans are a very creative & inventive species & we can use this to reduce our dependance upon non-renewable energy sources. There is now an abundance of so-called waste materials, that we can use to build panels like this which harvest the sun's energy & give us hot water. This efficient panel was made using an aeroplane wing cooling array & some scrap board, windows & pipes. Using the principle of thermosyphoning (where the heated water in the panel rises up to the tank & draws the cooler water in at the bottom of the array) it has no need for any pump & as a result it is very low maintenance.
