Energy Cycling - Compost Toilet

We need to generate the most yields we can from what we have available to us. Vegetable waste could be put into a compost bin directly, but it could be better to feed it to animals if you have them, then use the manure in a digester to produce gas for fuel & finally feed the garden with it.

We currently flush huges quantities of our urine & faeces down our toilets, using even greater quantities of valuable water. Whilst it might not be quite so practical for everyone to be composting this yet, it too is a very valuable resource that is lost to the soil if we just flush it away. There are a few different compost toilet options for us, from the simple bucket, via the treebog, to the electrically operated hi-tech version.
