Multiple Functions - Decking

Whilst nature builds in multiple functionality for almost all her species, we can also apply this concept to anything else we do. Here the decking around this mobile home fulfills several important functions which justified the effort required to build it. Firstly it doubles the existing small living space in the warmer months of the year & at the same time provides an almost slug & snail-free zone on which to grow delicate salads etc. It also makes the entrance much safer (previously there had been just a stack of pallets) & allows plants to make the most of the heat reflecting & retaining properties of the caravan wall. It also gives the caravan more stability & cuts down the chill caused by cold winter winds passing underneath.
