I often run introductory events in either a one or two day format. For Taster days, I combine a bit of theory with a site visit in a single day - which is a bit of a whistle-stop tour! For introductory weekends, I have more time to introduce permaculture theory and include some creative methods of teaching in my indoor sessions on the Saturday. The site visit then takes place on the Sunday, providing along with a tour of principles put into practice, an opportunity to engage in some simple activities that participants can put into action at home. In both situations I provide some simple tips to start you to bring permaculture into your own life and guidance upon where to go next to learn more.
