Abundant Future

Time to take the Green Pill?

It's much sweeter than you may think!

So you've heard all about global warming and climate change...

You want to do something about it, but where do you start?

Look no further - permaculture provides positive solutions for us all, to create environmentally sustainable, harmonious and abundant ways of living.

Here you will discover that you have a significant influence on the World around you and that you can make simple choices that will change your life for the better.

Here you will find both information about permaculture itself and to give you some ideas, the many ways in which I have incorporated its design principles into my own life. One common fallacy is that permaculture is only about organic gardening, but we can use its principles to design anything from transport systems to housing and economics to community networks.

So why 'Aranya Gardens'?

EchinaceaBecause....... one of the principles of permaculture is that "Everything gardens", in other words 'alters their environment' in some way to suit themselves.... and that includes me too! So I'm redefining 'gardening' as the choices I make and the way in which I interact with the natural environment. That's not to say that I don't like to grow my own food too.....

The menu will guide you to pages telling you more about what I do, why I think it is important and how to contact me if you would like to make use of any of my services; Permaculture teaching, Diploma tutoring, site design or consultancy. Here you can also browse what was perhaps the first fully online Diploma in Applied Permaculture Design Portfolio (here since 2003) and be able to order a full copy on CDROM with extras if you wish. There are pages showing some gardens that I have designed, created and/or maintained in very different places, over periods of at least a year using permaculture principles. There is a page dedicated to explaining more about permaculture and why we all need to be doing more of it and also a links page providing many more sources of inspiration and information if you wish to learn more. You can even browse and download photographs of my salad mandalas, created using plants from my own garden.
