Heathercombe Permaculture Design Course
Introduction to Permaculture Design
Permaculture Island, Niton, Isle of Wight
10th - 13th May 2024
This course covers the key principles of permaculture and how we can apply them in redesigning our homes and gardens to be both more sustainable and abundant. Permaculture is about working with nature to make a better world for us all. It offers us an approach that helps us to identify the best tools and techniques for each of our own unique circumstances.
4 days (non-residential with residential options)
Looe Permaculture Design Course
Widegates, Looe, Cornwall
29th June - 13th July 2024
Since moving to our new home at the end of August 2019, my partner Jules and I have been working on developing the site into a flagship permaculture demonstration site and documenting our process online. While it may be some while before this process may be considered anywhere near 'finished', there's plenty to be learned from observing a site in development. Come and help shape our future! In addition we'll be visiting other local projects - those planned include Martin Crawford's forest garden, Huxham's Cross Farm CSA, and nearby Keveral Farm. This course offers an extra emphasis on small-scale food prodcution and forest garden systems.
90 hours over 2 weeks (residential - beds/camping with non-residential options)
Training of Permaculture Teachers Course
The Inkpot, nr Scredington, Lincolnshire

We know permaculture has answers, so if you've ever wanted to inspire others but haven't had the confidence this course is for you. It is suitable for all abilities: both apprentice and experienced teachers and also for those who have just completed their Permaculture Design course (PDC). The Inkpot is a working 150-acre organic, regenerative farm on a distributed network of fields and a demonstration permaculture LAND Centre. It’s also the home of Hannah Thorogood and family.

Kents Permaculture Design Course
Introduction to Permaculture Design
Heathercombe Permaculture Design Course
High Heathercombe Centre, Manaton, Devon
2nd - 16th November 2024
Heathercombe is a wonderful place to spend two weeks learning permaculture. It's established forest garden demonstrates how permaculture thinking can help us meet our physical needs, even in such challenging landscapes as Dartmoor. The course also shares how the Centre has a strong emphasis on how permaculture thinking can be applied to the important subject of caring for ourselves and each other. Empowerment is the essence of this course. The main design activity helps to consolidate all of the learning to empower participants to take permaculture back into their own homes, lives and community.
90 hours over 2 weeks (residential with non-residential option)
